Library on Wheels

MidPointe’s Library On Wheels plays an important role in providing library programming, materials and services to portions of the service area that does not have a physical branch. Additionally, this department serves library customers who have special needs or may have difficulty using the library through traditional means, in addition to providing supplementary learning tools to educators. You may reach MidPointe’s Library On Wheels by phone at (513-424-4918) or by email at libraryonwheels@midpointelibrary.org.

Library on Wheels services include:

Bookmobile

This 30 foot vehicle features a complete collection of thousands of Library materials for all ages. Library programming operates out of the bookmobile, bringing storytimes and more to convenient locations throughout MidPointe’s service area. Stops include local parks, organizations, schools, senior living facilities, community events and more. The bookmobile was partially funded by a LSTA grant and aides in MidPointe’s efforts to reach all corners of the community.

Lobby Stop Vehicle/Pop-Up Library Service

This service brings a pop-up library – materials to check out and staff to assist patrons inside multiple community spaces. Initially, MidPointe is bringing this service to short- and long-term care facilities and other health care destinations. Patients and their caregivers will have easy access to library materials, technology training, and information services. The pop-up library includes multiple carts of library materials for browsing, a set of tablet computers for one-on-one or class instruction, a patron accessible printer and more.

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s libraries and museums. We advance, support, and empower America’s museums, libraries, and related organizations through grantmaking, research, and policy development. Our vision is a nation where museums and libraries work together to transform the lives of individuals and communities.
