Library on Wheels – Home Delivery / Books by Mail

Home Delivery / Books by Mail

The rich collections of the MidPointe Library System are available to you through the Library On Wheels Home Delivery/Books by Mail service – a free, fast and convenient way for qualifying patrons who can not visit the Library in a traditional manner to borrow library materials.

Home Delivery/Books by Mail is only for individuals who are unable to visit the Library in a traditional manner because of advanced age or temporary/permanent disability. To qualify for this service an application must be completed and documentation from a physician, nurse or social worker that can verify that you qualify for this service may be requested.

Home Delivery

Library On Wheels currently visits almost all retirement communities and assisted living facilities in the MidPointe service area. Qualifying residents of these facilities desiring home delivery service can register to be added to these delivery routes following the “How to Register” process below.

Books by Mail

Individuals in private homes can qualify to receive Books by Mail. Once you complete the “How to Register” process below for the Books by Mail service, materials are sent in a reusable envelope by book rate through the United States Postal Service.

Your first Books by Mail delivery will include a welcome letter which further explains how the service works. The letter will include contact information for when you have questions or want to place requests for library materials.

The packages are delivered to your home and must be returned in the same envelope by depositing them in a mail box or by having the letter carrier pick them up. The address card in the front envelope must be reversed so that our address and the pre-paid return postage are showing.

How to Register

Qualifying individuals can phone MidPointe’s Library on Wheels at (513) 424-4918 during regular hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or email

Library on Wheels staff will assist you in completing an application.

Reading Preferences and Requests

The application asks about your reading interests. The sections labeled “age category,” “format preferences” and “language preferences” must be filled out. If you check “please do not select items for me,” we will only send items you have specifically requested.

If you check “please select items for me,” you should indicate your areas of interest under fiction and/or non-fiction. All of the questions on the reader profile page are about the kind of materials you want the library to provide. If you opt to have us select books for you, we will send several items from the subject areas you have indicated approximately once a month. In addition, you may request specific items at any time by calling (513) 424-4918 or emailing
