Virtual Programming - Week of April 13-19
The Library may be closed, but we are still bringing great programming to you at home! Links will be posted to Facebook Live events after the program is complete.

Monday, April 13
8:00 AM - Virtual Storytime
4:30 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Cookbook ChallengeWe will be making a budget friendly recipe from a cookbook in our eLibrary. Share your recipe ideas in the chat!

Tuesday, April 14
10:00 AM – FACEBOOK LIVE Cardio Dance
11:00 AM – FACEBOOK LIVE Pre-School Storytime - Printable Zoo Animal Charades
1:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Dancing Spaghetti and Raisins Experiment - Supply list: vinegar, pieces spaghetti (2 – 3 cm), baking soda, water, clear glass cup or jar, club soda or another clear soda (7-Up, Sprite, etc. -unopened is best), raisins (fresh works best)
6:30 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Bedtime Storytime  

Wednesday, April 15
9:30 AM – FACEBOOK LIVE Baby Storytime
12:00 PM – Chain Reaction Family FunThis Rube Goldberg machine demonstration uses duct tape, painter’s tape, wood skewers, straws, water bottle caps, scissors, furniture like chairs and tables, marbles, 1.5 inch diameter pipe insulation, shoeboxes, small boxes, cups, yarn or string, bowl, cereal box, and cat nip.  Other suggested materials are scotch tape, elmer’s glue, a ruler.  Families can also use children’s toys like race car tracks, bouncy balls, golf balls, race cars, pool noodles, etc.
2:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Lego Volcano - Supply list: LEGOs (or other "building blocks"), baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, food coloring (optional), tray (cake pan or cookie sheet)
6:30 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Bedtime Storytime
7:30 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Storytime for Grown-Ups - Library staff will read a poem, share a piece of music and then read a short story or essay out loud. You are encouraged to discuss the works in the chat!

Thursday, April 16
10:30 AM – FACEBOOK LIVE Toddler Storytime
1:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Lava Lamp in a Bag Experiment - Supply list: half cup water, food coloring, 1.5 cups vegetable or baby oil, effervescent antacid tablet, Ziploc bag (one gallon), highlighter (optional), black light (optional), paper towel (optional)
6:30 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Bedtime Storytime 

Friday, April 17
2:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Tissue Paper Flower Craft - Supply list: tissue paper, cut in squares, scissors, pipe cleaners (could substitute twist ties or string)
3:00 PM – Interactive Breakout Program
7:00 PM - Harry Potter Kahoot! Trivia - We will be posting a link to play LIVE trivia on the Kahoot! app. Download the app early so you will be ready to play! This week's trivia will focus on "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."

Saturday, April 18
2:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Art Journal Tutorial - Supply list: notebook/ sketchbook/ loose paper (up to you), pens, pencil, eraser, markers, paint (like watercolor or acrylic), cup of water, paper towels. Optional: stickers, stamps and stamping ink, magazines, glue
3:00 PM – FACEBOOK LIVE Pre-School Parents - We will focus on a different topic each week that deals with a learning objective or developmental activity for your pre-schooler. We will also share helpful/humorous books about parenting and give you a chance to chat with other parents in the chat!
