Innovation Pointe EXPRESS

Starting June 2, MidPointe’s makerspace, located inside the West Chester branch, will reopen for the time being as “Innovation Pointe Express,” offering staff production of patron projects. Available machines will be a 3D printer and a vinyl printer. Complete a print submission form to begin a project.

3D Printing

Innovation Pointe Makerspace’s 3D printer (Prusa i3 MK3s) is available to make 3D objects out of plastic using a digital design file.

How much does it cost?
$0.10/gram of filament used (example: an average smartphone case uses 28 grams of filament: 28g X $0.10= $2.80)
Measurements for pricing are rounded up to the nearest gram.
All prices are subject to change without notice.
If you would like a price estimate before printing, please select “yes” on the “quote” portion of the submission form.

The maximum build volume of the printer is: 9.84 x 8.3 x 8.3 in or 25 x 21 x 21 cm (X×Y×Z)

What type of plastic?
We only use PLA (Polylactic Acid) plastic in our 3D printers. Patrons are not permitted to bring in their own filament.

Print jobs that take longer than 7 hours will not be completed.

To submit a print job, please fill out this form with your information and upload your file. 3D printing requires a .STL file (Please do not upload any other file type).

Looking for something to print? Try Thingiverse.

If you have multiple print jobs, please submit them separately.

Vinyl Printing

Innovation Pointe Makerspace’s vinyl printer is available to make removable stickers, banners, and posters up to 52” wide using a digital file.

How much does it cost?
28” roll - $2.00/linear foot
52” roll - $4.00/linear foot
Dimensions for pricing are rounded up to the nearest ½ foot.
All prices are subject to change without notice.

If you would like a price estimate before printing, please select “yes” on the quote portion of the submission form.

To submit a print job, please fill out this form with your information and upload your file. Vinyl printing requires a .pdf file designed to size (i.e., if you want your poster to be 24”X48” you should make your file that size).

If you have multiple print jobs, please submit them separately.

Jobs are printed by order received only. As demand and print times vary, the Library cannot guarantee a deliverable date. When your print job is completed, you will be contacted by a staff member using the information provided in the submission form. The library reserves the right to alter the print queue for any reason. If you require a fast turnaround time or special requirements, we recommend using a professional printing service.

All print jobs must be picked up at the front desk of the MidPointe Library West Chester branch. Patrons must show their Library card or ID and pay at the time of pickup.

Items not picked up within 30 days after completion will be discarded or become property of the Library.

Not all digital files can be effectively printed with our equipment. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us prior to submitting your project. The Library is not responsible for the functionality or quality of content produced.

Project production must conform to the Innovation Pointe Makerspace policy.

The public will not be permitted to create material that is:
