The MidPointe Library System will offer two opportunities to enjoy "What Keeps Armchair Detectives Awake at Night?" - a presentation by author J.T. Townsend, based on his book "Queen City Gothic: Cincinnati's Most Infamous Murder Mysteries."

The MidPointe Library Middletown, located at 125 South Broad Street, will host the author on Thursday, October 11 at 7:00 PM in the Library's Community Room. The MidPointe Library West Chester, located at 9363 Centre Pointe Drive will host Townsend two weeks later on Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 Pm in Community Room A/B. Both dates will feature a book discussion and reading by the author, as well as a signing with copies of "Queen City Gothic: Cincinnati's Most Infamous Murder Mysteries" available for purchase. This is a riveting program for adults who are fascinated by Cincinnati's sinister history. These events are free and open to the public.

J. T. Townsend is a freelance writer and lifelong resident of Cincinnati. He is the former true crime historian for "Snitch Magazine," and his work has appeared in the "Cincinnati Enquirer," "Cincinnati Magazine," "Word Magazine," and "Clews". In addition, he appeared in the 2008 British documentary "Conversations With a Serial Killer." "Queen City Gothic: Cincinnati's Most Infamous Murder Mysteries" is his first book.
