coming soon

With this year’s theme of “Build a Better World” and a season filled with high-energy fun, excitement is sure to abound!  This two month celebration offers great books, fun prizes and exciting events for all ages, all for free.

Participation in this annual event is simple for all ages. The youth program is divided into three age groups: birth through pre-Kindergarten, children entering grades Kindergarten through 5th, and young adults entering grades 6th - 12th. Starting June 1, visit any MidPointe Library location to pick up a reading log or start tracking your reading electronically with Wandoo Reader (new this year!).  Participants keep track of their reading at home, then can come into the Library to reward their accomplishments and pick up their prizes! The Program concludes on July 31st and grand prize winners for each age level will be awarded at every location shortly thereafter.

Summer fun isn’t just for the little ones! Adults aged 18 and up can complete a bingo board full of reading and library related activities between June 1st and July 31st. Participants have the opportunity to win multiple exciting prizes.

Special programming and events are always an exciting part of the MidPointe Summer Reading Program and this year is no exception! Highlights include live animal programs, a “totally gross” magic show, MadCap puppets, makerspaces and more! Find a complete list of MidPointe events here.

New this year is the opportunity to “Build Up to Summer Reading.” Between May 18 and 31, pick up a passport at any MidPointe location and complete challenges to win extra prizes and get ready to “Build a Better World” this summer!
