Drawing amazing animals with numbers and letters--New books!

Even a young child will have success and fun as author Steve Harpster uses numbers and letters to creatively form animals.  Mr. Harpster's animials are imaginative creations that are fun, funny, and, though easy to draw, give the appearance of complex art.

Drawing with Numbers and Letters

Session One--Geared for Preschool through First Grade

11:00 - 11:45 in the Community Room

or

Drawing with Numbers and Letters

Session Two--Geared for Second Grade and Older

1:00 - 1:45 in the Community Room

Families may attend either session but the drawing will be more complex in the 1;00 session.  All participants are asked to bring paper, something sturdy to draw on       (like a clipboard or large book), and pencils with erasers.

In-person registration is required.  Registration begins Saturday, July 11.

Mr. Harpster's books will be available for purchase after each program.

Middletown Conference B - Adults - Technology

This free, two-hour class will teach the basics of word processing with Microsoft Word 2007.  Basic computer skills, including how to use a mouse and keyboard, are required.

Ages 16 and up.

Bring a plain, colorful t-shirt or two (no white or gray) and we transform them into SuperHero shirts. 

 

We will be wotking with bleach and it does stain so wear old clothes. 

 

We will meet in Community Room A/B and from there we will move outside for this program. 

 

If it rains the program will be cancelled.

Come join us for our first Open Mic @ the Library!

This event is open to performers ages 18 and older. Storytellers, poets, instrumentalists, singers, jugglers, magicians and others are all welcome. Beginning performers, as well as veterans, are encouraged to participate.

Spectators of all ages are welcome.

Come hear the voices and see the talents of the community!

Guidelines

  • Performances must be no longer than 5 minutes.
  • Performers must be ages 18 and up.
  • Performances must be family friendly. Children may be in the audience.
  • This is a positive event—no slamming. Only applause!
  • Performers will be signed in on a first-come-first-served basis.
